Improving the manufacturing process, to get a better quality
Very few musical instruments makers have a R&D department that works all day long on further improvements. That requires skills, time and means, and only the majors in the industry of music can afford such things. However, we, in the Metal Sounds company, think that it’s too important to be ignored and that’s why we have built several R&D programs to reach a better level. We are concerned by making affordable and reliable instruments that can be also considered like pieces of art, and we are aware of our responsibility to our customers. We must make the best steel tongue drums and handpans we can, as fast as possible and in the best and safest conditions for our making staff. The instruments must be reliable, finely tuned, well finished, fairly priced. The customer service must be responsive, clear and efficient.
The Metal Sounds’ R&D programs are dealing with all these concerns and it’s sometimes surprising to note how far the solution can be from the original issue. To us, Research & Development means to looking for the most sustainable process for all, for music, for people, for the future…
